The IBM blueprint is still evident in the Lenovo ThinkPad R61, but the addition of a wide-screen display and all the latest Centrino Duo tricks make this a ThinkPad that could woo home users along with its legion of fans among business travelers.

Uninspired Design (not much to look at), Lack of Video Output Options (DVI, HDMI), Low Audio Power, Small Touchpad

Good screen resolution
The computer is really slow... early 90's slow. It constantly freezes, takes more than 2 mins to open up any application, takes a very long time to boot, reboot and most of the time...it doesn't shut down unless I hold down the power button!
Can't think of any now that I'm stuck with this dud of a machine.
I have had this computer for one year and I've already had to replace the hard drive twice. Tech support told me this just happens with their machines. It is slow even with XP and 2GB memory. Many applications freeze for no reason.

Every inch of this product exudes quality. The WSXGA+ display is has crisp fonts, the keyboard , classic IBM. The construction gives the impression it is the Toyota Landcruiser of laptop PC's. It represents a balance not seen in any other line.
No one watching you use this machine is going to say "wow". At a time where everything is getting colorful with an emphasis on contempory design this product fails. It doesn't look cool like a Mac or a Dell XPS 1530.
